About Me
Hey! My name is Louis, known online as LouisC mostly. I'm 19 years old, and I'm the guy who blogs at this site. It took me a long time to get this blog the way it is now, in fact, this blog has been around since November of 2002. Well, back then it wasn't really a blog.... it was really pathetic. I'd post every few weeks with one or two words. If you're wondering how tall I am right now, I'm about 5'6" or so. You know, give or take a few inches (lulz).
What do you know?
I don't really know that much. Right now I'm in a freshman in college, and I know some PHP, enough mySQL to get by, I'm pretty much an expert with XHTML and CSS, I know a tiny bit of javascript, but I never use it because I don't like it, and I know a lot of Flash too, but I'm not into that anymore.
How long have you been making websites?
Well, you might find this a bit strange, but I made my first site when I was about 7 or 8. I don't really count that as a real website, because there was NO content and I used *gasp* frontpage (it pains me to say that word). Yeah, I can't stand the "fp" word. It doesn't use correct HTML. Well, I don't know about it now, because I haven't used it since 2000, but hey, it's made by an evil company, so who cares?
Now what do you use to make websites?
Well, I could really use anything, but I like TextMate the best. No, it's not WYSIWYG. It's just a general editor that can do pretty much any programming language. It even has autocomplete and all sorts of neat little tags. It also has syntax highlighting, which I can't live without :D. If you have a mac, I highly recommend you purchase it. When I'm on Linux, I use Bluefish, which is a neat little HTML and other programming language, like Textmate. When I'm on Windoze (which is basically never), I use Notepad++. It's also free, and really not as good as Bluefish, but it has syntax highlighting, so it's good enough. I used to use TSW Webcoder, but it's not free anymore.
What other sites have you made?
Too many to count, I used to have a site that had many links to all different websites I made, but the hosting company went out of business and I didn't have a local copy (genius) so I lost it. Oh well.
Will you make me a website?
No. Well, not now anyway.
