Badly Designed Sites (part TWO!)

Remember that hellcat site a while ago? Heh, well, she came to my site and left a comment on the last post in the Badly Designed Sites series. First I’d like to say to you, hellcat, that I’m honored that the owner of an absolutely horrible looking site decided to come to my site and start calling my “diary” bad. First of all, it’s not even a “diary”. It’s called a “blog”. Learn the word. It’s spelled B-L-O-G and is pronounced exactly like it’s spelled. You can also call it a “weblog”, but it’s just “blog” for short. Second of all, I said I couldn’t read it because of the background. Nothing else. Then you start attacking my site because it’s not high enough on some stupid topsite list? Well, first of all, I don’t care about the topsite list. Second of all I was in the 2 or 3 spot for about a month or so, when I first put the link up.

So, I read the comments on the topsite list today, and I come across this one:

rofl. yknow one of the rules on topsites is NO BASHING ALLOWED. meaning be a fucking adult and dont go over to your competitors site just to diss them with insults that arent even true. my layout is messed up? dont even get me started on yours. your layout shows no organization at all and on account of your font changing sizes when i change IE’s text size shows that you have absolutely no css skills whatsoever. before you try to flame someones site, take a good look at your own. and i wouldnt be surprised if you did cheat.

Whoa. Just… Just whoa. Did she (?) just call me a cheater? When did I bash a site on the topsite list? Never, until this post here, bashing her comment, which still isn’t bashing the site. It’s called critisism. If you can’t take it, you’re a wimp. If it’s false, stand up for yourself, don’t bash the other person. My font changes sizes when you change the browser’s text size for a reason. If someone can’t read small fonts, usually they have their browser’s font size up. If you don’t make it so the page’s font size also changes, they can’t read it. Second of all, don’t use IE. Use Opera or Firefox (I use Opera). Oh, and by the way, is that kind of language allowed on the topsite list’s stats? I don’t think so…. :)

And now, a NEW bad site! Alright, you’re gonna love this: http://www.bullnet.co.uk/ Go on, go there. The blue sidebars hurt my eyes, how could anyone navigate it?

Heh, the olden days. This site was made by ME, two, maybe three years ago: http://lcnet.ionichost.com/. Yep, that was my site. First notice the popunder if you’re on Internet Exploder. Second, look how I RECOMMEND Internet Exploder… Sad, truly sad. There’s also no content. WHEN WILL I STOP??? Oh, alright. Look! A blog! Click the link.

Wait a second… I’ve seen those entries before! yep, this actually is pretty recent. Well, the blog is, not the main site. Go to my July 2003 archives on this blog. Yep, there they are. Same entries. Yes, that was a primitive version of what you see now. And yeah, that’s a premade template. I didn’t know how to work Blogger back then, so yeah. Deal with it. Oh, and don’t even bother with the forum. The forum never got off the ground.

ANND! That’s it! Have a nice day.

Speaking of badly designed sites, check out Sites That Suck. They’re even rated with vacuums.
