Wow! About time!

Yeah, I know I haven’t been keeping up lately, but I’ve been fairly busy with school and being lazy, you know. Being lazy takes a lot of work! Anyway, I’m going to try to start blogging regularly again. I have a few techie things to talk about today, and then some personal stuff, so yeah.

I’ve got Google Analytics now! Basically, Google Analytics is what Google did to Urchin. I have Urchin too, but this is cooler. It uses flash for the graphs and stuff. I kind of liked Urchin’s SVG way better, but this new way works too. When you log in to your actual reports, you can see everything about people visiting your site. Well, no personal info, but like, geographical info. For instance, I know 3 people visit from my town, a person came from toronto, and there are, like, 4 people in europe. I’ve only had this for a day now, so all the numbers are pretty low, but I expect them to get up there.

XMGNetworks has a blog now! Yep, it’s at blog.xmgnetworks.com. It’s not actually active yet, but most of the staff, including myself, are going to be posting on it every once in a while once it gets started up. We also did a few minor changes to XMGFree. You now get a reason for your rejection in rejection emails, and you can sign up for XMGTopsites right on the application form for hosting. One of our new staff members, Francesco, did both of these new additions, and he did a great job from what I see so far. If you ever sign up for XMGFree, please also visit and post at our official community, even though it’s technically not required.

New idea! I have a new idea!!!!!! This one guy, Penguin, asked if it was allowed to post torrents on his website, on XMGNetworks’s community. The answer was yes: as long as they’re legal, but it gave me an idea. What if we ran a BT tracker for hostees only? Can anyone post, like, some info on how system intensive a tracker would be? Right now I’m thinking about BNBT. If you can, that’d be great, thanks.

Now for the personal stuff. I like this girl. I’m not posting any names, but she’s a freshman and I’m a sophomore. I don’t know much about her. I know her name, but not how it’s spelled. I know she likes Pink Floyd, which is definately a plus since it’s hard to find hot girls like decent music. However, she has a boyfriend, but he’s asian, so, well, enough said (joke). What I’m going to do is be friendly with her. Just a friend at first, and then, once she breaks up with ber boyfriend, I can make a move. Sounds like a good plan, eh? I think I have a good chance. I’d like to get to know her better first. Hopefully she’s into metal. If she breaks up with him too late, and it’s around valentine’s day, I might do the cheezy secret admirer thing. Who knows?

Someone posted a very immature comment on my last “entry”, calling me gay. It came from the IP, 204.39.71.106, so if anyone feels like doing anything nasty to the guy, go ahead. His name is apparently Wayne Resa, and he lives in Detroit. I do not know him, but this is what happens when you piss me off. Have a nice day!

Well, I’m just about done. I don’t know when I’ll post again, but hopefully it’ll be soon. Later!

Update on the project

The project I started a few weeks ago isn’t going too well. Well, for my purposes, that is. So far there has been no spam, which makes me think that either spammers haven’t found the site yet, or that they’re holding off for the entries to get older. Once again, the project is located at science.benignthoughts.com.
