So, here’s the new design!

Right now I’m doing the AP Biology exam from 1999 getting ready for the real test in like, a week, so this entry won’t be too long. However, I plan on posting again tomorrow.

Like the new design? I released my CSSReboot design a day early, just for the hell of it and because I wanted to see what people think. A lot of people complained that a dark background made my text hard to read, so this layout is light. I’m rather fond of it, actually, though there will be gradual changes over time… Like always, the header is random, but smaller to save more space for posts. It’s fully compatible with every browser, though IE users will see a little message above the posts telling them to switch to a better browser like Opera. Any suggestions? Please comment. There will be another post by the end of the week.

New design tomorrow

Tomorrow I will be launching a new site design for this spring’s CSS Reboot (early). It’s not going to be much different from my current design, but I do promise new colors ;)

A new entry will also appear tomorrow.

I got the new trombone

I got my new trombone a few days ago (Saturday). It’s the Yamaha YSL-640, and I absolutely love it. It feels so much different than my Besson, so I’ve been practicing about 15 minutes extra every day to get used to it. I’m pretty used to it now, at first it was hard for me to hold notes as long as I could on the Besson, because it requires more air for some reason, but the bell vibrates deeper and it sounds a hell of a lot better.

Opera 9 Beta 1 came out last week. It’s a lot different from TP2, so check it out. You can get it here

Last Wednesday, I went to the New York auto show. I went with my dad’s school on a field trip, which I later found out wasn’t allowed (oops), but that’s not the point. It was GREAT. Seriously, Toyota had some pretty cool concept cars, like this one that had a foot window or something, and these really slim funky racing-type seats. I also got a crapload of free stuff, including Kelley Blue Book chocolate (yum). I didn’t get to take a good look at anything mainly because the people I were with were jumping from car to car, but I can’t complain. It’s more fun that way :-D. Jeep had this really cool section. It was outdoors in this tent thing, which I assume was temporary. They had a course set up, and you could ride through it on a Jeep driven by one of their drivers. It was fun, they had stuff like logs it climbed over and a pond that submerges the tailpipe, but the car keeps running. It had this huge, steep hill as well, and the car could get up it with no problem. Fun :).

So I’m done for now. I’ll post again Friday or Saturday, I don’t know yet.

I’m back!

I think… I know I haven’t posted in a very, very long time… The last true post I made was way back on my birthday, and at the end of it I said that I would post again the next day and if I didn’t, you could yell and scream at me. Well, you didn’t you losers. Why the hell didn’t you send me an MP3 of you yelling at me to post again? I guess I don’t have many readers, which isn’t surprising since I don’t seem to ever post about anything. Oh well, from here on out I will (try) to make it a habit to post regularly, whether it be every day (highly unlikely), every other day (more likely), or weekly.

So I’ve been watching more anime recently. Right now I’m in the process of watching Fate-Stay Night, Karin, and Bleach. Those are my main three. Shakugan no Shana recently ended, as did Shinigami no Ballad, which was only six episodes. Fate-Stay Night is the one I’m most interested in at the moment, and Eclipse (#eclipse on Rizon) released episode 15 today. They always release the episodes on Saturdays, just hours after it airs in Japan, and it always amazes me. Bleach is finally starting to get good again. After the Soul Society thing it started slowing down, but the current arc (is it an arc or just filler? I think it’s an arc) is really good so far. In it, Ichigo and friends have to beat what humans know as vampires, but the shinigami know as Bountou. They suck souls out of the dead to live forever, but they recently started killing the living as well… It’s really good :D.

So I’ve completely switched to the Tango icon set. I haven’t switched to clearlooks, however, due to complications with the 64-bit clearlooks theme and some 32-bit apps…. specifically OpenOffice. I can’t find a 32-big clearlooks, but Xfce’s theme is very nice, so I’m using it like I always have. I even made myself a skin in Opera based on both the Tango CL skin and the Zuper Slom skin. It’s extremely slim and uses the Tango icons, which is perfect. I’m not releasing it until I am asked to, though, since it’s basically Zuper Slom with the Tango CL icons. If people want it, I’ll put it up, but I can’t claim any credit to it.

So I’ve been getting a lot of emails… Almost every single one are about Demonoid. For the record, I am not giving out Demonoid invites to anybody who emails me unless I know you and you are my friend. If I just gave them out, there would be no use to Demonoid being closed now would there?

So then, I’m done for now. I’ll post again. I can’t truthfully say when, and I hope not to get some screaming mp3s soon, but yeah. Maybe I will. Happy Easter!
